what are the advantages of vertical scaling?
Vertical
scaling,
also
known
as
scaling
up,
is
the
process
of
increasing
the
capacity
of
a
single
machine
or
server
by
adding
more
powerful
resources
to
it.
These
resources
may
include
adding
more
CPU,
increasing
RAM,
expanding
storage
capacity,
or
increasing
network
bandwidth.
Vertical
scaling
is
about
making
a
single
machine
more
powerful
by
upgrading
its
components
or
replacing
it
with
a
stronger
version.
It
is
generally
straightforward
since
it
does
not
require
major
changes
to
the
application
architecture
